We have confirmed through sources that Jesse "The Viking" Erickson (11-8) will step in on 2 weeks notice to take on Jay Bakanowski (4-3) at Combat FC 1 on June 17th in Wilmington, MA. Erickson is taking the short notice bout after coming off a win at NEF 47 back in mid may over Matt Denning, his former student at Central Maine BJJ. "The Viking" is 2-0 over the past few years, while Bakanowski is coming off a win at a Cage Titans card back in February over Robert Ovalle. It was Bakanowski's first fight in almost 6 years, but he didn't skip a beat and took out Ovalle via TKO in the 3rd round. Erickson will be traveling south to Massachusetts from his home state of Maine to take on Bakanowski in a 160 pound catchweight contest.
