We came to you yesterday with a heavy heart to report the untimely passing of New England MMA and Cage Titans veteran Arthur Mpofu . Arthur passed away unexpectedly June 11th in Alabama where he trained at SBG East Coast, just two weeks after his 27th birthday. News of Arthur's passing has sent shockwaves through the New England MMA community as social media continues to burst with loving stories of Arthur's life are being shared between family and friends in the community. His friend and fellow Cage Titans FC Champion Jay Perrin may have summed up Arthur's impact on the New England MMA scene the best when he wrote;
"Arthur…. You had a smile that stretched for miles. You were always so kind. You could see it even in your eyes how gentle a soul you are. You had talent I was envious of. A heart as big as the moon....I will carry you with me……Always. I hope you find peace wherever you are, little brother. I love you more any words can describe. The world isn’t as bright now that you’re gone." - Jay Perrin via Facebook.
As the community grieves Mpofu's passing, his family is asking for help in an effort to bring Arthur back to Massachusetts where they can lay him to a proper rest. We all know how strong our community can be and now is the time to flex our muscles, everyone who knew Arthur knew what a positive personality he brought to the sport, both inside and outside of the cage. Now we are called on as a community to help preserve Arthur's legacy. A GoFundMe page has been set up by Arthur's family in effort to afford Arthur a proper Funeral, here in his Massachusetts home.
