We had a full house in The Room! Billy Goff (3-2) stopped by to talk about the biggest win of his career last week, as he beat Robson Gracie Jr. vis TKO in the 2nd round. Goff has one particular name in mind that he'd like to stand across from in the Bellator cage soon.
Rochester, NY based fighter, Jon Piersma (0-0), also took some time out of his weight cut to catch up with us in The Room. Piersma is set to make his pro debut at CFFC 91 on Friday night on UFC FightPass. Piersma had a stellar amateur career, going 6-1-1 against some of the toughest that the area had to offer. Piersma is looking to put the rest of the northeast welterweights on notice with a big performance against Tyler Bunting under the Cage Fury lights!
And last but not least, "Slippery" Peter Barrett (11-5) swung by The Room to talk about his disappointing loss at UFC 256 last week. "Slippery" was easily up 2 rounds to none against Chase Hooper, but succumbed to a 3rd round leg lock that forced him to tap. Barrett isn't looking to dwell on his most recent loss, and wants to get back in the UFC cage as soon as possible.
