UFC Targets Rob Font v. Marlon Moraes in Bantamweight Showdown with Title Implications

Travis Lizotte "Full Contact Writer"

Breaking News: New England MMA has now confirmed with several sources that the UFC has booked New England's Rob Font (17-4,11th ranked Bantamweight in the UFC) against former Bantamweight World Title Challenger; "Magic" Marlon Moraes (23-7-1, 3rd Ranked Bantamweight in the UFC). This will be the first fight of 2020 for "New England Cartel" member Rob Font and is scheduled to go down December 19th at UFC Fight Night from the UFC's Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Font announced this summer that recovery from a knee injury in his fight against Ricky Simon (16-3), a Unanimous Victory for Font, had him on track for one fight during the 2020 calendar year and it will be a big one against the Brazilian Moraes, who poses the biggest test of Font's career. A win over the third ranked Bantamweight could vault Font into the top 5 and into the title picture at 135 pounds as he and his New England Cartel mate; Featherweight Calvin Kattar (22-4, 6th Ranked Featherweight in the UFC) continue to push towards the top of their respective divisions in demand for New England's shot at UFC gold!
