Cage Titans 58 was an absolutely WILD day of fights, perhaps one of the most exciting fight cards in New England MMA history to be brutally honest. There is good chance we would not be talking about any of that had it not been for the Cage Titans Bantamweight Championship Brawl that put an epic stamp on an already exciting day of action. In that main event; the Champion, Joe "The Party" Penafiel (11-5, Fusion Xcel) locked horns with super-humanly tough John Douma (7-4, Tri-Force MMA) for five of the most entertaining Championship rounds our region has ever seen. Back and forth went these two 135 pound sluggers, trading strikes, blood and sweat for a full 25 minutes of action. When the dust settled all three judges determined that the Champion; Penafiel had indeed done enough to retain his Bantamweight crown, leaving only one question; "What is next for New England's favorite adopted son?"
