In a crazy turn of events just 2 days out from their event, CES just announced that undefeated featherweight prospect, Tom "The Phenom" Pagliarulo (3-0), will step up on just a few days notice to take on fellow New Englander, Nate Ghareeb (4-1).
Pags is coming off an 11 second TKO victory last Friday night at Combat Zone 74, so taking this fight on short notice on this stage makes complete sense. He's already in shape, is stepping up in competition, and will be fighting on UFC FightPass. "The Phenom" is one of biggest prospects in the region, but he's taking on another high-level prospect in Ghareeb, so this one is shaping up to be the fight of the weekend.
Ghareeb is coming off two very impressive wins at CES 63 (August) and CES 64 (September) where he dispatched both opponents via TKO in the 1st round. This will undoubtedly be the toughest test for each fighter in their young careers, and this should settle who the fastest rising prospect at 145 is in the region. This should be a banger of a fight, with both guys possessing high-level striking skills, and this will definitely be a treat for New England MMA fans across the region!
