Bessette just retired last weekend after defeating Ryan Dela Cruz via submission in their Lightweight Championship match at CES 64, while Piersma is preparing for his 4th pro fight at CFFC 101 on October 2nd. But they both stopped by The Room to talk with our Steve Domenico about what's next for both of them.
Bessette had one of the most storied careers in New England MMA history, and would surely be a first ballot New England MMA Hall of Famer. Making appearances in the UFC, Bellator, and having long runs with local promotions, Reality Fighting and CES "The Mangler" has been a face of the sport in our region over the last 14 plus years. Meanwhile, Jon Piersma is just getting things going as he looks to achieve greatness of his own in the sport of MMA. Currently sitting at 3-0 and with a fresh new 3 fight deal with Cage Fury Fighting Championships, Jon looks poised to be the next big thing to come out of the Northeast. Jon hopes to further those expectations a CFFC 101 when he takes on his toughest foe to date in Kris Vereen (5-0) as the two Welterweights vie for their shot at the CFFC 170 pound strap!
