Steve Domenico welcomed half of the Cage Titans 48 main event to The Room Podcast this week as he sits down with "Shameless" Don Shainis (8-2) who discusses his move to Glory MMA in Missouri, training under UFC Middleweight James Krause who has made his name as one of the best MMA coaches in the country. Shainis is set to vie for the Cage Titans Featherweight Title at Cage Titans 48 against Darius Estell (7-3) in a matchup that was scrapped last April due to Covid but is now slotted to headline a star studded return to combat for Cage Titans July 10th at Plymouth Memorial Hall!
In the second half of the show Domenico welcomes undefeated Lauzon MMA phenom Connor "The Controller" Matthews (3-0) who finds himself in a similar situation as the aforementioned Shainis, as he has his bout with Kris Berberich (4-7), initially scheduled for April 2020 as well, rescheduled for Cage Titans 48 in two weeks. However Matthews shares some breaking news on that front that may cause a slight change in plans. Unlike Shainis however, Matthews was able to stay active in competition during the pandemic, notching a huge first round Submission of Josh Marer at CES 61 last October. Now with another win under his belt Matthews continues on his path towards greatness, regardless of the opponent, whoever stands across from Matthews on July 10th will be in for some "Bad Newz"
