Yorgan De Castro "Blessed" to be Fighting For Eagle FC This Friday Night

Regiment Training Center's Yorgan "The Mad Titan" De Castro (7-3) put an end to a personal three fight losing skid, albiet all in the UFC, when he battled Danyelle Williams (8-7-1) to a Unanimous Decision in the main event at CES 65 back in November. For De Castro, he was home and happy to be there, with CES, the promotion that helped groom the 34 year old Cape Verdean into the fearsome Heavyweight striker he is today. However just several days after De Castro had his hand raised at CES 65, an opportunity presented itself that not even "Yorgie" could have seen coming.

De Castro put pen to paper and signed a multi-fight deal with former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC. Eagle FC comes to the United States for the first time this Friday night in Miami, Florida as combat sports legends Tyrone "King of the Ring" Spong (2-0 MMA) and Sergei "The Paratrooper" Kharitonov (33-9) meet in the Heavyweight main event at Eagle FC 44. De Castro told our Steve Domeinco on this episode of "The Room Podcast" that he feels "Blessed" to be fighting for a Global Promotion like Eagle FC, as he finds himself in a preliminary Heavyweight tilt with Shaun Asher (13-4-1) Friday night in the promotions stateside premier.

There is no question that this fight card is going to draw some serious interest from MMA fans across the globe, in addition to the legendary main event the main card includes the MMA return for UFC Hall of Famer; "Suga" Rashad Evans (19-8-1, vs. Gabriel Checco (12-5). Also former UFC Bantamweights; Ray "The Tazmexican Devil" Borg (18-7) and Cody "The Renegade" Gibson meet at 135 pounds, while former UFC Welterweights Anthony "The Assassin" Njokuani (16-12, vs. Raimond Magomedaliev (8-1)) and New England's John "Doomsday" Howard (29-17-1, vs. Ramazan Kuramagomedov (9-0)) round out the main card.
