On November 5th in Portland, Maine at NEF 45, both Tyler Smythe (3-1) and Zac Richard (1-0) had impressive performances and accomplished personal goals. Smythe was able to wrap some gold around his waist as he took out Caleb Austin (5-1) in the 4th round via TKO to capture the NEF amateur flyweight championship. A few fights later Zac Richard was able to claim his first professional victory as a mixed martial artists, as he beat Carl Langston (0-6) via ground 'N pound late in the 1st round.
Smythe and Richard train at Evolution Athletics in Saco, Maine along some up and coming talent, and they both have fights booked for November 12th at Aura Nightclub in Portland on the NEF 46 card.
