If you've followed the New England MMA scene in recent years, then you know exactly who Pat Casey is. Since 2015, "The Gorilla Ninja" has stepped into the cage a combined 19 times in his amateur and professional careers here in the region.
After starting his amateur career 5-1, Casey captured the Premier FC welterweight and middleweight belts in back to back fights, and ended up finishing up at 7-2 as an amateur.
Casey then set his sights on the pro ranks, and made an impact almost instantly. "The Gorilla Ninja" started his pro career on a 6-1 run, and quickly got the attention of all promotions around New England, as well as major promotions.
Most recently, Casey lost a split decision to Daniel Madrid (17-6) at middleweight on 1 weeks notice on the Bellator 246 card, and then dropped another contest to undefeated Roman Faraldo at Bellator 252. Regardless of his recent setbacks, Casey has proven that he comes to compete every time he steps foot in the cage. He's a tough grinder who is a hardy matchup for anyone in the country at 170 or 185.
Casey has fought from anywhere from 155 to 185 in his career, and has never missed weight. A true professional who hones his craft at the top-level gym, Team Link in Ludlow, MA, as well as with Hector Arvelo at Arvelo's Martial Arts Academy. The Springfield, MA native is supported by his wife, family, and close friends....oh, and we can't forget about the massive crew in the "413" that has his back through thick and thin. Commonly referred to as "The Jungle", his fan base is deep and loyal to "The Gorilla Ninja".
